There are few things as important to the safety and protection of your computer as firewall protection. A firewall program prevents malware and malicious people from accessing your wireless or internet network without your permission. If a firewall isn’t in place, malware and people can connect to your network and access information from your computer, laptop, and other wireless devices.

As wireless internet becomes more popular, people don’t have to be tethered to a cord to have access to their internet or home network. Malware creators can access any devices connected to the wi-fi network and actually view, steal, or damage the information stored on those devices. Having a firewall in place means that only the people and computers you have given permission to can connect to your network which keeps your computers safe and protected.

One of the most common ways that people experience identity theft and fraud from their computer is through a break in over their network. Firewall is so important that many internet service providers either offer protection or require that people use it when connecting to the internet using their servers. If you spend a lot of time online, do online banking, store personal information on your computer, or want to prevent your computer from damage, a firewall is one of the most important steps you can take.

Many people use the firewall that is installed on their router or wireless internet device. This helps prevent people from stealing Internet from them or accessing computers on their network. In addition to a firewall, each computer in the home or office should also have malware software installed to offer additional protection. Firewall software only regulates who can access the network, so antimalware is needed to protect the computers that are allowed to access that network.

In most cases firewall protection programs automatically update themselves and require no maintenance or technical skill to keep them running properly all the time once they’ve been properly installed.

Some of the best computer protection software is free. If you do an Internet search for free malware protection software you will find Malwarebytes, Avira, Avast, and AVG to be some of the best and most popular free programs available. I have tried them all and keep coming back to AVG free for persoanl use. The free programs use the same scan engine used in the commercial products and they all provide (except Malwarebytes) daily updates and scheduled scanning. They also provide free malware removal tools. I have also been using ZoneAlarm for many years since Miicrosoft didn’t provide any firewall protection with Windows XP and when they finally did it only blocked inbound threats. So if you infected while browsing you personal information could leave your computer and you would never be notified. Today most malware protection programs provide additional protection that includes firewall, email, and website scanning. All malicious programs include malware, viruses, spyware, data mining, and any other types of programs that could cause problems for users.

Windows has always been the weak link in the IT industry. Therefore over the years many large companies have migrated to Linux and for many good reasons. Linux is reliable, high performing, not as prone to malware infections, and you to own the code. Owning the code allows companies can customize and modify Linux for their own use. Even Google who has the money to run any operating system they want has chosen Linux to run their large data centers with several thousand computers each.

Data backup has also evolved over the years to include the Cloud. Now you can find services that will backup your data automatically over the Internet for a reasonable monthly fee. I still like to control my off site data storage with either flash drive, external drives, and tape disks, but the convenience of Cloud services and demanding schedules these backup services are becoming more popular.

Imaging has also become popular in computer lab and organizations with many computers. Free tools, such as, Partimage and CloneZilla are very popular. These tools can completely restore a computer in minutes whci can save a large organization huge amounts of time.

Staying safe with a free computer protection software

If you’re concerned about the safety of your personal information when using the internet, a protection program offers you the peace of mind you’re looking for. Using the Internet is a fun, convenient, and powerful way to share information and learn just about anything, but it’s also a great place to have your personal information stolen. Malware programs can attack your computer from websites, emails, programs, and downloads without a warning sign. Once on your computer, they collect important data and send it back to the people who have created it. Malware can record what you do on your computer and share that personal information with malware developers so they can use the information for fraud and theft.

Protecting your personal computer or laptop from malware is one of the most important things you can do to keep your personal information safe and prolong the life of your computer. Some malware programs can actually cause damage to your computers various programs, so it’s important to make sure that a malware removal program is working on your side.

A malware removal program is designed to find infections on your computer, remove them, and help prevent them from coming back. Infections can be tricky to find, but these advanced computer protection programs seek out the problem files and get them off of your computer in a quick and effective way. Most anti-malware programs run silently in the background whenever you use your computer, and keep an eye out for anything that may cause your trouble. As technology advances, so do the methods used by people who steal using the Internet. Protection software helps keep you one step ahead of their game so that your information stays safe and secure.

Anti-malware programs are one of the best investments you can make in the safety of your personal information and your computer. These simple to use protection systems have been created with you in mind, and are here to make sure the Internet stays a safe and enjoyable tool for you to use. Staying safe and protected online is easy with the right program. You might also be surprised to know that some of the best software come as free computer protection programs for personal use. I have been using AVG free basic for years now and I love it.

If you are like most people, you probably use a computer every day. Computers have become an integral part of people’s lives and can make daily life significantly more productive and entertaining. One of the worst things that can happen to a person is to turn on their device and find out that it has been crippled by some type of malware or other malicious software or virus that makes the device inoperable. There are literally millions of programs out there that can have various effects on your computer. Some of these programs make your computer run slowly, some steal your information, and some can even completely destroy your machine. Regardless of the malware or virus, it is important to have some type of protection in place. Did you know that there are many top rated free anti malware protection programs that can protect your computer as well and sometimes even better than some of the more popular commercial programs. I use to purchase Norton anti virus every year until I found free AVG for personal use. The free version of AVG uses the same scan engine that the pro version uses and it is better optimized than most of the commercial offerings. If you do a little research on AVG you will be surprised on many people are using it. There are also many other good anti malware products out there and some of the better one offer free versions for personal use.

Because of the prevalence of computer viruses and other similar programs, it is important to get some type of anti malware software installed on your computer as soon as possible. If this means taking the machine out of the box, brand new, and installing a program to protect you, that’s what should be done!

There are several different features that you should look for when you are considering different types of anti malware software. The first main thing that you should make sure your software has is a feature that allows it to auto update daily. Updating your malware protection program is critical, as it will keep your computer safe from the most recent malware released. As there are viruses released every day, the update feature is probably the most important feature that you can have on your anti malware program.

The next thing that you want to find is a reliable malware protection company. Hundreds of companies offer malware protection so it is up to you to find the best protection for your computer. Try to choose a company that has years of experience with virus software and has released several versions of software. AVG, Avast, and Avira are three of the best out there and all three have free malware protection versions for personal use. You should check out what people are saying about them.

Although you may think that your specific type of computer is immune to malware or viruses, you are wrong. There is malware programmed for all operating systems and brands of computer so regardless of the make or model of your machine, it is important for you to get some anti malware software installed.

Anti malware software programs are available from a few different sources. One option you have is a local computer store that sells computer software. When you visit make sure to ask a sales rep about the different programs and which they recommend. If you decide to get your software from the Internet, you will have to get the information on your own by reading reviews and other sites that have info on this type of software. A good site is CNET and they have many reviews on all the popular software. You can also download the recent releases of all top rated free anti malware protection programs available.

The CompTIA A+ computer training and certification will open doors to entry level computer work. Most IT

CompTIA A+ Computer Training - YouTube

employers today put more value on A+ certification, then experience, and last education for entry level positions. Employers have been burnt too many times looking at just experience and education alone. Certifications have helped provide the confidence employers need when selecting and hiring new computer techs. The CompTIA certs are vendor neutral have are designed with major industry leaders and companies advisement. The cert testing has also been revised several times over the years to include new technology and industry changes. Some questions now deal with soft-skills and customer situations to ensure prospective technicians can deal well and effectively with the general public. More and more importance is been placed on attitude and the ability for employees to get along well with others. I have also heard that some employers are looking first to employee reliability, then good team player, and then technical skills.

The CompTIA training covers 5 main domains. The first is hardware and the majority of the test is devoted to understanding hardware components, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It is important to understand how computer components interact, communicate, process data, and impact overall computer performance. We want to make sure that data flow is understood so that impediments can be addressed and corrected. Time is money so over all investment performance is critical to a companies bottom line. The second domain is operating systems and today Windows is still running on most computers with Linux taking a smaller share. However you might be surprised to know that almost 80% of all Internet web servers are running Linux. So Linux techs are also in high demand. Since Windows is 90% of all the problems that computer techs have to deal with, being able to effectively maintain Windows is critical for any company.

The Third domain is Networking. Since all computers are now networked and connected to the Internet it is important to understand how the equipment is configured and maintained. Also the TCP/IP protocol is a must to know well since all data flow is dependent on it. The forth domain is Security and security is becoming more and more of an issue with all the new malware variants that are daily infecting computers and networks. Malware is costings millions of dollars in downtime and business interruptions.

The last domain is Operational Procedures and include soft-skills. Employees must be able to deal well with others and be come strong team players. Understand what keeps businesses running, competitive, and effective in the market place is also critical to their performance and survival.

So learning about computer technology and becoming CompTIA A+ computer training certified can open many doors to an exciting career in the IT industry.
